Inspired by Linda Sue Park’s book Nya’s Long Walk: A Step at a Time, six-year-old Pippa spent weeks at the end of her family’s driveway to raise money for Water for South Sudan.

WFSS is excited to share a special project made possible by a generous anonymous donor.

Bonnie Lloyd had just received some life-changing news when she attended a presentation from Water for South Sudan (WFSS). Her next decision would affect families in South Sudan for years to come.

WFSS is so excited to share that during 2020, an anonymous family foundation generously donated $100,000 to fund a huge initiative—the Pinydit County Water Storage Project. This project provides vital access to clean water to more than 10,000 residents in South Sudan.

This month, we sat down with a group of three sisters from Pennsylvania, USA, who decided to forgo birthday presents and asked their family and friends to donate to Water for South Sudan instead.

Every month we profile an Amazing Kid who has gone above and beyond to support Water for South Sudan (WFSS). This month was a little different. We sat down with several seventh-grade students at Clinton Middle School in Clinton, NY, and their English Language Arts teacher, Sarah Gaetano.

We recently sat down with Ruhani, a high school junior in Shreveport, Louisiana, and learned about her efforts to fund clean water.
