2024-2025 Season Recap

Another Season Complete!

We are excited and honored to share that we achieved another successful season thanks to our incredible supporters and partnership with Transform South Sudan.

Impact Snapshot

Here is a snapshot of the projects we completed this season:

  • 29 new water points (new wells and water storage systems) installed across two states: 17,500 new beneficiaries now have direct access to safe drinking water.

    • Western Bahr el Ghazal State

      • WFSS Projects: 6 wells and 1 water yard

    • Warrap State

      • WFSS Projects: 10 wells and 1 water yard

      • Partner Projects:

        • 10 wells (Transform South Sudan)

        • 1 water yard (Women’s Empowerment Project)

  • 13 wells rehabbed: 5,000 existing beneficiaries had their wells improved through rehabilitation

  • 26 water management committees (hygiene) trainings completed- 807 individuals trained (all received well management and hygiene education training):

    • Further Breakdown of this group:

      • 196 participants trained as hygiene promoters to share safe practices with fellow community members

      • 70 participants through Transform South Sudan

      • 541 participants trained through the Women’s Empowerment Project. Of these:

        • 30 women trained in tailoring skills

        • 25 women trained in Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA)

  • Women’s Empowerment Project

    • Women’s Center Construction

      • Built a Women’s Center enclosed with a chain-link fence

      • Constructed a sustainability room

      • Constructed a tailoring room

      • Built a female latrine

    • Water Infrastructure

      • Installed a water yard with a capacity of 32,000 cubic meters

    • Programs and Activities

      • Tailoring program for women

      • Hygiene promotion activities conducted by Hygiene Promoters

      • Multiple trainings to strengthen WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) resilience in women
